BOTOX®  Cosmetic has proven to be quite an amazing drug. Now, in addition to its wrinkle-reducing properties, we have found it to be amazingly effective in treating problem sweating of the palms, soles, and underarms. It seems to simply "turn off" the sweat gland. Until now, the mainstay of treatment has been topical medications such as Drysol, which, although very effective in many individuals, require daily use, and are irritating to many. Studies have shown that a single treatment of BOTOX® injection generally lasts from 6-12 months in reducing or eliminating problem sweating.

The treatment works as follows: after an initial consultation, an appointment is scheduled to map out the active sweat glands by applying a color indicator to the affected area. Once the glands are identified, BOTOX® chemical is injected throughout the area. Generally, within 7 days sweating is profoundly reduced.
