How is Female Hair Loss Caused?

There are many different causes of hair loss in women.  The most prevalent causes of hair loss in women has to do with heredity and hormones.  The genes for hair loss can be passed down from either parent to affect their child.  Hormonal causes for female hair loss include changes in birth control routine and DHT, which stands for DiHydro Testosterone.  DHT is also known to cause female hair loss.  If you are experiencing female hair loss that you feel may be due to increased levels DHT, decreasing the levels of this type of testosterone can help restore hair that has been lost. 

Female hair loss causes can involve a number of factors. Childbirth is one of the many causes of hair loss in women.  Several diseases also have impact on female pattern balding.  Anemia, hypothyroidism, anorexia, bulimia, thyroid or liver disease, hepatic or renal failure, and viral, fungal, or protozoan infections are all medical conditions that may play a role in female hair loss. 
 
Deficiencies and excesses of certain elements also have a bearing on female hair loss.  Protein, essential fatty acids, and zinc deficiencies can be pinpointed as a cause for hair thinning.  An excess of vitamin A, the presence of amphetamines, anticholesterol agents, antimitotics, and anesthesia are also blamed for hair loss at times.

One is a very high fever.  When a woman is that ill and the body temperature soars, hair loss is not uncommon.  High levels of stress are also known to cause hair loss in women.  Many of the illnesses and femal hair loss causes mentioned above also increase stress levels, making the condition even worse.
