Hair Loss Products and Hair Loss

There are many different hair loss products on the market today.  Caution must be exercised when shopping around for a hair loss product.  Many of these products on the market are nothing more than scams to get you to spend money on their product.  Be especially careful of products that say they produce quick results.  Lines such as, “Grow thicker hair in just weeks!” are very suspicious.  If hair restoration was as easy as shampooing your hair with a certain shampoo for a few weeks, everybody with hair loss would be using it.  The fact that these products have been out for years and have not fully succeeded is a surefire sign that the product is questionable.

Today, products such as shampoos, thickening conditioners, and scalp therapies are the most doubtful.  Most topical remedies produce little results.  Pills to reverse hair loss and vitamins and herbal and natural remedy capsules are also skeptical.  Again, if these products worked so well, why don’t they have a name for themselves?  If you have not heard of the medication elsewhere, be wary of topical remedies, vitamins, and other pills that are said to speed hair growth and rejuvenate dead hair follicles.

There are a few products that do work to restore or partially restore hair loss.  Propecia, also known as Finasteride, is the name of the most popular oral medication for treating hair loss.  However, this medication is not intended for women’s use.  Rogaine, also known as Minoxidil, is the name of the topical treatment for hair loss.  Rogaine often needs to be used in high strengths to get desired results.  Additionally, the preferred results often come from a combination of hair restoration treatments
