Myths About Hair Loss Treatments

There are many myths concerning the treatment of hair loss. Among these falsities is a myth about electrical stimulation.  Some seem to think that a reduction of electrical stimulation to the scalp causes hair loss therefore a market for massage sessions of the scalp was created.  This is untrue and would produce no results in hair growth.  It has also been said that poor circulation of the scalp causes hair loss.  However, it has been proved that lack of blood to the head has absolutely nothing to do with hair loss.  Another myth about hair treatment pertains to vitamin deficiencies.  Some believe that vitamin deficiencies are held accountable for hair loss, when in fact too much Vitamin A actually causes hair loss.

Some also believe that blocked hair follicles, parasites, and towel drying your hair too vigorously are the cause of some hair loss.  These are simply myths which have never been proven scientifically.

There are several products on the market today that say they help with hair growth.  These products, such as mousses, gels, and shampoos do not work to help hair grow thicker.  It is just a marketing scam targeted to individuals who are desperately attempting to remedy their hair loss problem.  If the products actually worked, they would be known around the world.
