Can Shampoo Deal With Hair Loss

There are a number of shampoos on the market that claim to be hair loss treatments.  However, there is no guarantee that these shampoos will work wonders to regrow your hair, nor is there any concrete evidence that any results will be the outcome.  After all, if hair growth was as easy as shampooing with a magical potion, everyone with hair loss would be using it. 

Some of these shampoos are marketed as scalp cleansing shampoos that “clean hair follicles to improve hair growth.”  However, the fact is that dirty hair follicles are not the cause of hair loss.  Other shampoos maintain that they will thicken hair, reduce DHT, and eliminate sebum.  Whether they work is a suspicious question. 

There are also shampoos that feature infused herbs that promote healthy hair.  It is said that shampooing with chamomile, catnip, and burdock roots strengthens hair and encourages healthy hair growth.  Additionally, the herbs saw palmetto and grape seed extract have been discussed to provide encouragement of hair growth.  Not enough evidence has been done on shampooing hair with herbal remedies to promote hair growth; therefore nothing is guaranteed to work.  However, many people who are desperately seeking a treatment for their hair loss troubles will experiment with anything until they find a working remedy.
