Hair Loss and its Effects

1.) The number one effect that hair loss has on those that are experiencing it is their appearance.  Since they are used to having a full head of hair and no longer do, this is a huge adjustment to make in one’s life. 

2.) Emotional problems can surface with the onset of hair loss in both women and men.  Many have difficulty dealing with the reality of losing their hair.  When hair loss is severe, often it causes low self-esteem, which can, in turn, cause other problems as well. 

3.) Stress often arises when loss of hair occurs.  With large amounts of stress, hair loss can worsen, producing an uncontrollable domino effect. 

4.) Loss of Masculinity or Femininity is often felt in the discovery of hair loss.  Hair can be a big part of who we are and what we look like, when it is lost, confidence sometimes is lost with the hair. 

5.) Sometimes when a person begins to lose their hair, they get desperate and attempt to find any solution to their hair loss troubles.  This can lead to purchasing an array of remedies that may or may not work, effecting one’s bank account and budget.  Many of these non-medicinal remedies simply take advantage of the fact that those experiencing hair loss are often desperately seeking any simple solution.
