Propecia Side Effects

1.)Propecia is not generally prescribed to women because it is known to cause birth defects in unborn male infants.  If you are a pregnant woman, thinking of becoming pregnant, or are of childbearing age, it is highly suggested that you do not even come in contact with the medication.    Any contact with a form of this drug could cause genital deformities in male infants. 

2.) Propecia has been known to cause a decreased libido in men.  This side effect usually decreases with the amount of time on the medication.

3.) Sometimes people experience hives or rashes when taking Propecia

4.) Lip swelling has been documented as a side effect of Propecia.

5.) Male breast enlargement, although an uncommon side effect of Propecia, has been documented as a side effect of some who take the drug.
