What A Hair Transplant Can Do

1.) If you follow all instructions given to you by your physician, in approximately three or four months, you can expect new hair growth.  It will grow about a half an inch every month.

2.) You will see small scabs covering the grafts on your scalp.  They should disappear within a week. 

3.) Although many people do not feel any symptoms following the procedure, it is normal to feel numbness, slight discomfort, or mild pain.  If you experience any of these, do not worry, as it will dissipate shortly. 

4.) It is possible to experience some temporary thinning of your pre-existing hair.  This side effect is normal and hair will return to its healthy growth patterns following the procedure. 

5.) There are several side effects of hair transplantation that are very rare.  These side effects only occur in a small percentage of patients; however they are serious and should not be ignored. They include bleeding, scarring, cysts, and infection.  The number of cases where this occurs approaches zero percent in my experience. If you do experience these side effects following your hair transplantation, call your doctor immediately.
