Stopping Hairloss

A lot of products claim to stop hairloss. They claim to be able to increase blood flow, or use infrared lights to open up the hair follicles. Unfortunately the rate of blood flow in the scalp has nothing to do with hairloss, as proved by the high rate of success among hair transplant patients. Propecia does this by blocking the conversion of testosterone into DHT (dihydrotestosterone), a hormone that while helpful in the development of the fetus is also the main culprit of baldness.
