Get Rid of your Female Pattern Baldness---Today!!

Though not as common, Female Pattern Baldness, like male pattern baldness is a medical condition caused by a mixture of genetics and hormones that shrinks hair follicles below the skin, thereby preventing them from regenerating dying hairs on the scalp.

Generally women have more widespread hair loss across the scalp than men, who have concentrated areas of hair loss in areas such as the temples and the top of the head. This makes it easier for women to camouflage hair loss, but often the hair becomes so fine it becomes difficult to style. Loss of hair in an entire area, such as the hairline, is unusual in female baldness and may suggest something else at work, such as Alopecia Areata (a disorder of the immune system that produces bald patches) or a skin condition of some kind.

Though female pattern baldness is permanent, the effects are usually of a mild variety, and therefore very susceptible to medical treatment. Minoxidil is the only medication approved by the FDA in the treatment of female pattern baldness, and this topical solution which when applied directly to the scalp, has in the majority of women taking it been able to stop or at least abate the progress of female hair loss.

Another solution is hair transplantation. Women find that this procedure, which once had a reputation for poor aesthetics and mediocre reliability, has come along way since the 80’s and enjoys a great satisfaction rate as a female pattern baldness treatment that can provide women a healthy and natural alternative to simple camouflaging. By transplanting hair follicles from abundant areas of the scalp to areas in need, sufferers of female pattern baldness find that they can reacquire that healthy scalp they remember, and reclaim much of the self-confidence and esteem they had before female pattern baldness set in.
