"At age 53, I decided that it was time to "do something", but I wasn't prepared for "the knife". I have taken good care of my skin my entire life and have used good products to keep my skin in shape. "My doctor convinced me that Restylane was what would really benefit me, so one afternoon I had Botox shot between my eyebrows and Restylane put in those nasty "folds". I also had what is known as "the smoker's lip", even though I don't smoke. Because the Restylane "took" so well and easily in those folds, he also injected it into those upper lip lines, as well as the upper part of my top lip, so that the area "blended" well. I wish I could say that it didn't hurt, but it did! I had swelling and a bit of bruising, which took a few days to resolve. But I must tell you that exactly two weeks after this procedure, I look like I have taken 10 years off my age (and I didn't look my age to begin with!). What I really like is that it is not "obvious". I look like a rested, more youthful version of myself, but I don't look different. The combination of Restylane and Botox has made me a very happy woman. This is something I will definitely continue using."
